On January 6, 2026, Jojo Aljanoubiya Organization contributed to providing humanitarian assistance to South Sudanese families residing in Mayo Camp in northern Sudan. Approximately 300 families, affected by the ongoing war, have been forcibly displaced and have lost their homes, belongings, and sources of livelihood.
As part of its humanitarian response, the organization provided financial assistance to vulnerable individuals and families, including patients, bedridden people, and families facing severe hardship. This support aimed to help alleviate their suffering and address some of their most urgent needs amid the extremely difficult living conditions they are experiencing.
Jojo Aljanoubiya Organization urgently appeals to government authorities, humanitarian organizations, charitable institutions, donors, and individuals of goodwill to intervene and provide immediate support to these families.
The displaced families are living in extremely challenging humanitarian conditions, many of them without adequate shelter and exposed to severe heat. They are also facing serious shortages of food, medicine, healthcare, and other basic necessities. Children, women, elderly people, and those suffering from illness are among the most vulnerable.
Due to the current circumstances, these families are also unable to return safely to South Sudan.
Jojo Aljanoubiya Organization calls for collective humanitarian action to help protect the dignity, safety, and well-being of these affected families and to provide them with the essential assistance they urgently need.
